CELEBRATING FATHERS IN THE BUILT INDUSTRY 



Today, we at John Eniwaiye & Co. honor the men who build more than structures, they build lives, cities, and legacies.


To every father who wears a helmet, carries a measuring tape, or signs off on a blueprint, this is for you. More fruitful and blessed years ahead, sirs. 


To The Fathers Of The Built Industry:

1. To Fathers as Mentors: You don’t just assign tasks, you shape destinies. You saw potential in that timid trainee and called him “future principal partner”. Thank you for opening doors you had to break down. More grace to mentor and the next generation of principal partners.


2. To Fathers as Teachers: Classroom or site, your lessons stick. “Measure twice, cut once” is life advice, not just site instruction. You taught us that errors cost money, but ignorance costs destinies. More wisdom to keep teaching until the lesson becomes legacy.


3. To Fathers as Instructors: You stood in the rain to show us how to take levels. You corrected our rod readings until our hands stopped shaking. Patience is your PPE. More strength to instruct with patience, even on the 10th repeat.


4. To Fathers as Guides: “Approval first, build later” didn’t start as a slogan. It started as your guidance to a young client who wanted to skip due diligence. You guided us away from shortcuts into integrity. More clarity to keep guiding us through red tape and right paths.


5. To Fathers as Valuers: You taught us that every property has a story, and every valuation must tell the truth. You refused to inflate figures even when “everyone was doing it”. You valued integrity over income. More blessings, your valuations will keep standing the test of time.


6. To Fathers as Builders: You don’t just mix concrete. You mix discipline with compassion. Your sites run on order because your homes run on principles. You build with your hands by day, build character by night. More projects, more impact, may your foundations never crack.


7. To Fathers as Planners: You see the future while others see today. Conception, zoning, master plan—you plan cities and also plan your children’s school fees ahead. Vision is your gift to the built environment. More foresight, may your plans for cities and for family both flourish.


8. To Fathers as Surveyors: You turn “bush” into boundaries; turn drawings into figure and reality as Quantity Surveyors. You establish limits so others can build in peace. Your theodolite establishes truth on the ground, and your life establishes truth at home.  More accuracy, may your coordinates in life always point to purpose.


9. To Fathers as Architects: You dream in lines, then turn lines into homes. You design spaces where families will laugh, pray, and grow for 50 years. Form + function = your fingerprint on the skyline. More inspiration, may your designs outlive you and bless generations.


10. To Fathers as Bosses/Principal Partners: You carry the risk so the team can carry the title. Salary during dry months, correction in love, promotion by merit. You’re tough because the profession is tough, but your heart is soft for your people. More fruitfulness! May your firm grow, your staff thrive, and your name will be honored.
